I didn’t create this firm to scare businesses into compliance or to chase every lawsuit. I created it because I believe employment law works best when it’s clear, accessible, and grounded in real-world strategy — not fear or formality.
At Jacobs & Associates, I work with clients who care about doing the right thing but need help understanding what that means legally. My job is to make sure they get it right from the start — and have the tools to respond when things go sideways.
A Firm Built on Practical Values
Employment law shouldn’t feel like a trap. It’s not about choosing between protecting your business or respecting your team. A strong legal foundation lets you do both.
This firm is built around that belief. I offer employment law services that are:

I know how these issues play out on both sides of the table — because I’ve been there.
My Perspective
Before launching this firm, I spent over 15 years working at large law firms, where I developed two distinct but complementary areas of expertise. The first decade of my career was spent in white-collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. I represented clients in high-stakes federal investigations, grand jury proceedings, and governmental audits. I negotiated proffer agreements with federal prosecutors, managed multi-jurisdictional document productions, defended clients before agencies like the DOJ and SEC, and handled corporate compliance matters for organizations navigating regulatory enforcement.
That work taught me how to manage pressure, dissect facts, think strategically under scrutiny, and protect clients when the stakes are highest.
During the pandemic, my practice shifted almost exclusively to employment law. I began advising employers on wage and hour compliance, internal investigations, DOL audits, discrimination claims, and emergency regulatory mandates. I also represented individuals in discrimination and retaliation cases.
I saw firsthand that employment law wasn't just legal — it was human. And I saw that most workplace legal disasters weren't about bad intentions — they were about bad preparation.
That's when I knew: the only way to survive (let alone win) an employment dispute is to avoid it in the first place. That means education. That means compliance. And that's the kind of law I decided to practice.
Now, I bring both skill sets to my clients. Whether you're facing a DOL audit, a federal subpoena, an internal investigation, or a wage claim, I know how to assess risk, respond strategically, and protect your interests.
What to Expect When You Work With Me
My goal is to help you move forward informed, protected, and confident in your next step.
Why I Do This Work
I believe strong workplaces are built on trust, fairness, and clear boundaries. Employment law — done right — makes that possible.
Whether I’m helping a business build a compliant workplace or representing an employee who’s been wronged, or defending an organization in a governmental investigation, my mission is the same: fight the good fight, with clarity and purpose.
